  • One More Day

    One More Day

The tea did not truly warm them.

    It only postponed the cold.

Harvey drew a deep breath and felt the heavy dampness settle in his lungs. For a moment, sitting beside the weak fire among the others, he felt closer to them than to the rest of the world.

Yet he knew how fragile everything was.

    The fire.
    The tea.
    The laughter.

In the Tube, the law was written nowhere. It was simply survived, one day at a time.

As long as they still had the steam from a cup of bitter tea and a flame that had not yet gone out, they could carry on.

At least for one more day.

And in the Tube, one more day was already a victory.

  • The Tunnel Gave No Answers

    The Tunnel Gave No Answers

Somewhere in a tunnel buried between Canary Wharf and oblivion, Adrian opened his eyes.

The silence was unlike the ordinary silence of the Tube. There was no steady dripping of water, no scurrying of rats, only a dense, oppressive stillness that seemed to crush whatever remained alive.

Two figures stood above him. The rail vehicle moved slowly through the darkness, its headlamp making the brickwork tremble faintly along the walls. Adrian tried to move, but straps pinned his body to the cold metal floor.

He understood that he was a prisoner.

    ‘Who the hell are you?’

    Neither man answered.

Adrian searched his fractured memory: the manager, the document, the journey… Mason.

‘What have you done to Mason?’

A short, crooked laugh travelled along the tracks.

The document was missing. The message meant for Green Park had been intercepted, and somewhere beneath London, someone already knew exactly what it contained.

The mission had never been routine.

    It had been a trap.

  • The Weight of the Surface

    The Weight of the Surface

He had forgotten what silence sounded like above ground.

Snow drifted across the empty streets, covering abandoned cars, broken windows and the memories of a city that no longer belonged to the living.

Harvey adjusted the straps of his gas mask and looked towards the skyline. Somewhere beyond the frozen ruins stood the world he had once known. A world of crowded trains, hurried footsteps and ordinary mornings.

    Now there was only survival.

And the Underground was running out of places left to hide.

  • When the Jokes Stop

    When the Jokes Stop

“You haven’t been around for a while,” Jack muttered, his low, rusted voice cutting through the silence like something heavy dragged across concrete. “I was beginning to think you’d built yourself a cabin on the surface and forgotten the rest of us down here, among the rust, the mould, and whatever still moves in the dark.”

Harvey allowed himself a tired smile.

“Really? And where exactly do you think I could’ve disappeared to, Jack? If I’d found an island, I’d have taken you with me.”

A man standing in the shadows spoke without looking up.

“Kensington Gardens… I heard there’s still an empty bench near the fountain. If you don’t mind the rain.”

A few weary chuckles echoed through the checkpoint.

    “Maybe Hyde Park.”

“Or the London Eye,” Jack added, shaking his head. “Perhaps one of the pods is still turning.”

    No one was truly laughing.

There was no room for humour in the Tube anymore.

Sometimes, though, people pretended to laugh because pretending was easier than admitting what they had become. Old jokes, worn-out memories, and pointless conversations kept a fragile routine alive.

And in a world that had lost almost everything…

Routine was another word for survival.

  • Detailed Synopsis

On 13 October 2013, London breaks.

For Harvey Hunter, the day begins in the grey hush of rain, in a city already burdened by political fracture, failing alliances and the quiet dread of a war no one dares to name. A simple journey on the Underground becomes the moment that destroys his childhood. Somewhere between North Greenwich and London Bridge, a siren tears through the tunnels. The train stops. Panic erupts. Hands are torn apart in the crush. Harvey loses his father, his younger brother, and the life he knew in a single, irreversible moment.

Twenty-five years later, London is no longer a city in any ordinary sense. The surface has become a poisoned ruin of snow, ash, radiation and silence. What remains of civilisation survives below ground, inside the stations of the London Underground. North Greenwich, Canary Wharf, Bank, Old Street, King’s Cross and Green Park are no longer stops on a line. They are settlements, borders, markets, barracks, prisons and fragile states, each clinging to order in its own desperate way.

Harvey Hunter is now a soldier, courier and survivor in a world built beneath the bones of the old one. When two men vanish during what should have been a routine tunnel run, the disappearance unsettles the delicate balance between the stations. Routes begin to close. Messages stop travelling. Administrators grow quiet. In the west, a new power is rising: the Iron Legion, a ruthless faction led by Salim al-Kadir, intent not merely on controlling the tunnels, but on remaking the Underground in its own image.

Sent into the dark with sealed orders and too few answers, Harvey crosses a London where every station has its own laws, loyalties and ghosts. At Canary Wharf, he finds the first signs of a wider conspiracy. At Bank, he sees how thin the line has become between order and desperation. At Old Street, he moves through markets of hunger, rumour and fear. At King’s Cross St Pancras, he enters a world of gangsters, cells and whispered names, where Wesley Pike is spoken of as both a threat and a last resort.

As Harvey moves deeper into the network, his mission ceases to be only military. It becomes personal. The true danger is not only the darkness, the radiation, or the deformed things that haunt the surface. It is people: frightened people, starving people, powerful people, and those prepared to sacrifice what little remains in order to rule the wreckage.

When Harvey learns that the Iron Legion has gained control of tactical missiles capable of destroying the heart of the Tube, the struggle becomes a race against time. Green Park, Oxford Circus and the remaining centres of underground government could vanish with a single order. To stop it, Harvey must leave the relative safety of the stations and cross the dead west of London, through contaminated air, forgotten access corridors and the ruins of Kensington.

There, among the remnants of palaces, military relics and a city long past saving, Harvey discovers that the past has not finished with him. A mission to prevent the destruction of the Underground becomes a confrontation with the family he lost, the boy he once was, and the question that has followed him since the day of the siren: what is worth saving when the world has already ended?

The London Tube is a post-apocalyptic British thriller about survival, memory, loyalty and the brutal politics of a civilisation forced underground. In a London reduced to ration fires, sealed gates, old maps and counted ammunition, Harvey Hunter must stop the final war of a world already broken.

There is no triumph waiting for him in the dark.

Only the chance that someone, somewhere, might live long enough to see another day.
