From catastrophe to underground civilisation.

The sirens sound across London. Thirteen-year-old Harvey Hunter is separated from his father and brother at London Bridge during the evacuation into the Underground. Modern civilisation begins to collapse.
2014-2018
The first underground communities organise themselves. Farms, defence systems and early trade relationships begin to appear between stations. Adam Stewart transforms North Greenwich into a stable centre of survival.
2019-2028
The High Council emerges at Green Park. Communities begin to cooperate, and regular trade becomes possible. At the same time, in the west, the Iron Legion begins to form.
2029-2037
Salim al-Kadir expands the Iron Legion’s influence over stations in the north and west. Political tensions rise. Expeditions to the surface become increasingly dangerous.
Winter 2038
Two couriers from North Greenwich disappear during a mission to Canary Wharf. Harvey Hunter is sent to discover the truth. This is where the novel begins.
